The original Dulon Chestnut medium gloss paint code is 578-15396.
You won't find it in on the shelf in touch up pressure packs.
I believe Autobarn stores can mix paint colours on request and put in a pressure pack for you.
No idea how much it costs though.

As gene says decent paint shop will help you. If you were in Adelaide I’d recommend Lonsdale Paints.

I got a rattle can of March 17 made up at local Supercheap........despite their best efforts, i think it is really March 16 or 19, because it doesn/t match the car.
( of course the car may not be 100% correct either, but who knows).

Well fkn shoot me then for recounting that I saw my local Autobarn store has the capability to mix auto paints and shove them into a pressure pack.
Not everyone working at Autobarn is a 17yo kid, not my local store at least.
Granted an automotive paint trade store would be a better choice, if they offer the mix & pressure pack service.
Alternatively beg buy, borrow or steal hire a spray gun and compressor.

Tried automotive paint suppliers VG auto paints that will make up custom colors but don’t recognise interior paint codes but will color match, no good to me as I don’t have a sample.
Ok Its worth at least to see if Autobarn recognise the paint code thanks Dave.
Anymore suggestions are welcome

A pre-1980 Dulon book just turned up today. Here is the paint formula for it:

That’s great yel327 thanks, I might follow up on the Dulon formula knowing that it’s correct.

I took a formula of Woodsman Green to a PPG paint shop recently along with a formula for a colour sampled off a NOS Holden rear shock absorber. They differed but were close in their makeup, the sampled formula had a few tiny amounts off odd bits added which is probably just part of the sampling process. I reckon side by side there could be a visual difference but only slight. If you get the formula above and compare, it may not be that noticeable.
They made me up the sampled one, just waiting to get the original shocks rebuilt so I can paint them. I still reckon the original shocks colour is Woodsman Green though! I have an original 1968 HK Monaro guard here in it, looks just like the original HJ shocks.
Edit - it may be the white balance in that photo, but it does look too yellow. Almost Covert in colour rather than Chestnut. Do you have any original chestnut to compare? I might still have a HQ part here somewhere in Chestnut, or there would probably be an old HQ at Classicozwreck with some plastic still in it somewhere in it.

I have a glove box lid in the original chestnut, i will get a photo later for comparison, the colour on that honey pot doesn't look quite right.
