Hi....can someone help me with the correct finishes on the gearbox shifter....i know the shifter itself is chrome plated....how about the rest...was it originally zinc plated ir paint....i cant tell from the condition shes in.

Zinc plate everything except as you say the stick is chrome.
The OEM finish on the shifter rods was black phosphate but you could have them done in black zinc.
