There are a few old topics on HQ drums and the issue with the LH/LX cables being too short with various solutions. Some comments I read suggested using 1 HQ cable but I can't see how this would work as both HQ cables are the same length and shorter than the shortest torana cable . Others have moved the hanger rod to the back of the bracket but there are no holes so you would need to drill them and make a slot. I thought of making a new a new longer  joiner but after some measurements I would need to add about 50mm , didn't like that idea so decided to make some new longer hanger rods , worked out adding 25mm was enough, with new cables and the adjuster all the way out they are just a little tight, so once the new cables stretch a bit should be perfect.

Measuring from the outside end to end originals are 155mm and new ones 180mm and they are 6mm rod .
