Hi all,

 

My doors seem to have 2 set of mounting holes for the door mirrors drilled in past.

 

Does anyone know which holes are for the factory mirror, standard chrome or SS SLR type or any other?

 

The larger 6.5mm drilled holes are about 67.5mm apart and the smaller self tapper holes are 67mm apart.

Incredible timing - I'm in the process of removing some XB Ford mirrors from my LX to replace with the correct GTS style ones.

 

Yet to mock them up - but will watch this thread with interest. Would be great to get confirmation of exact factory positioning.

After much measuring I finally came to what I think is the correct spot . The Sports mirrors were originally just self tappers into the metal so they will be small holes . I decided I’ll bolt mine on with M4 bolts and nylocs .
I’ve got my holes 68mm centre to centre and front hole is 160mm from front edge of door
Your big holes look to be the right spot
