Hi all,

Looking for some guidance.

My factory indicator stalk fell apart on me last weekend, I have bought an aftermarket unit off eBay, problem is when fitting it I can’t seem to get the plug to seat fully into the factory receptacle. It won’t fully seat and clip in.

Anyone else have any experience with a similar issue?

I made sure I bought one that was specifically labelled as UC Torana to avoid any issues with Kingswood or Commodore differences

thanks

Nigel

I would put the old and the new side by side and carefully check that they are the same , wire for wire etc.

If they are the same it might be something as simple as bit of plastic left over from the moulding process holding things up?

Thanks @EunUCh.

I ended up zip tying the plug and receptacle together which has worked. Not my preferred solution but it works!

Sounds like someone is moulding connectors with crappy tolerances.
I've not seen this issue before but hard to say if there's a better solution or not without looking at it in person.

You could probably de-pin the old one, and the new one, and swap the moulded connectors over, if you wanted it to clip in and out like the old one did.
