Not many left in my haunt that haven’t rebranded.

 

Did stop in to this on the way up north the other day.

I haven't got a pic, but the last time I was up at Yarrawonga (earlier this year) Pigeons Holden was still untouched. Certainly pleasing to the eye to still see some in existence, but sadly they are slowly disappearing. I think Mantello's at Roxburg Park still have the Lion on a pole, but everything else is gone.

 

You have to wonder whether there will be any physical memories left by the time the "10 years" is up.

 

And I wonder how many of the dealers that ripped all the signage down early just binned it all and are now spewing after they see the prices fetched at auction these days?

I travel up to Yarrawonga a couple of times a year and I was so thrilled to see the dealership still branded last year (and earlier this year) that I stopped on the way home to take some photos while I still could. The yard was all locked up and nice new Colorado ute turned up behind me as I had my phone sticking through the gate. A couple of fellas got out and politely as me if I needed any help

but I just explained I have always been a Holden fan and all the dealerships have rebranded back home and I'm kicking myself for not

getting photos first. "Well" says one," you better come in and take some photos, hi my name is Bruce Pigdon". The photos on the wall

show the four generations of Pigdons with Bruce number three and followed lastly by his son as current dealer principal. They have been in business for over 100 years!  I was so appreciative of Bruce showing me around and I wished them all best for the future- a

real gentleman.

The Rockhampton one was still branded Holden when i was down there a few weeks ago.

Station Motors in Collie haven't changed yet, although they are selling new Mazdas.  He has 2 brand new Motorsport Editions in the showroom there.  I stopped in a couple of months ago to ask if the signage would be for sale when they take it down, and he said they would leave it up forever if they can.
