I've got a little time on my hands and I've been thinking about things that annoy me about my LCXU1. I've been told by a few that the Opel gearbox is a piece of shit and I should replace it with an Aussie 4 speed. Personally I'm use to it and enjoy driving something that's original from factory. The only issue is the shifter and having a pot luck shot in finding reverse gear. Reverse and first are so close that you need a microscope to separate the two gears. I haven't been under it yet and waiting to borrow my mates hoist. I'm thinking it could be worn shifter bushes, incorrect linkage adjustment or possibly wrong linkage rod. Has anyone else had the same problem?
