Banjo LSD hub suits all gearsets I believe. It is the carrier that varys between 3.36 and 3.08.

There's also difference in the hub, offset 60 th or something. 308 and 278 same hub , 336, 355 and 389 same hub

As above . 2.78/3.08 is one unit and 3.36/3.55/3.90 the other. From HK through to VH. Earlier for the old 6cyl ratios (3.36 up).

What ratio were you wanting one for? Or what ratio are you wanting to run?

Got one in the shed in very convenient bits
Doesn’t look like yours, though

The gears are 2.78s. I think I’ve read 2.78 and 3.08 suit one type, and 3.36 and up go on the other.
Not a definitive answer, but it may help a bit.

I remember a thread on this, have a search.
I think it was Heath that posted a pic of the two different hubs side by side with measurements. It helped me to I.D some I had.

It’s definitely an 8. It seems difference is in the half with the bolt flange for the crow wheel though
Here’s that thread

https://www.gmh-tora...fferent-ratios/

Once the boys have finished debating what to call the thing,
you can find the picture Adam is referring to on page 2
Mine measures up the same as the left one in Heath’s pic

The 222888 is the Patent number for an LSD. Not a part number.
