Hi Guys, looking to get some new door Trims made but struggling to find someone who will make them.
Anyone know someone who can reproduce these?
Cheers

Any chance of photos of the rest of the interior for the "Interior Trim Codes" thread? We used to have 64V in there, but photobucket screwed it up.

Thanks Dave.  Don't throw out those door trims. They are still good enough for someone to use.

For sure, I am hoping that I could possible salvage the wood vinyl inserts or find something similar to build new ones eventually.

They will go into storage for now!

Hi, I am in the same boat with my LH, the 64V interior is slowly deteriorating .   Neil, who did the 64V slr interior on your car.   Looks great.

So is the current verdict that no trimmers are set up to deal with the rectangular woodgrain insert LH SL door trims?

Shame, but I would imagine there's very little demand for that product.

I'd reckon that these days a front and rear could be sent to Thailand or Korea or the Phillipines or China or somewhere and have new sets made up.

Yes I agree Laurie, but then you may have the problem of colour matching the door trims to the seats.   I think I am going to explore the 64V SLR option, then it will all be the same.   Similar to the photos that Neil put up.

Generally with projects like that there is a minimum order value that needs to be met.

Guess it depends on what it is.

My brother got some exhaust parts made in China.

It was a back and forth deal multiple times before they got the tooling right and the parts to spec.

To get it done he had to commit to a purchase that was around half a 20ft container load.

What he ended up with wasnt quite to the specs agreed on.

In the end the cost was reduced, but he then had to modify what he was left with and get rid of them in different ways to recoup his investment of close to 100k from memory.

Would there be enough interest to make it a viable thing? Probably not.

Unless someone could find a mob that does extremely low volume runs.

Cheers

Rob
