I bought one but wasn't happy with the paint finish and overspray, so took it back. The others they had were exactly the same so got a refund. Never fitted it.

Will do up my original.

Thanks mate good to know , i have also heard that they are a bit smaller and don't fill the aperture properly but can't confirm this.

So are these “manufacturers” Absolute Morons ? Does any of these repro parts actually fit & or stay where fitted as intended or are they taking thu piss ? If So what’s Thu point other than to scam unsuspecting customers out of their hard earned $$$$’s…

I think it’s a combo of economy of scale and investment. Most of the good replica GMH stuff in the grille-like realm has been made by the original manufacturer or at least using their tooling. AFAIK Rare Spares (or Rare’s supplier) had the HQ grille, HZ/WB U17 dash fascia and consoles made by the original supplier who made them for GMH. If the LJ grille is that poor the OEM tooling may no longer have existed. Doesn’t excuse sub-standard parts but the sale pool is so small that the return is probably not there for the expenditure to do it right. In the USA there is a demand for 1000’s of repro parts but here you would be lucky to sell 100.

Here 1000s may get sold, if the dikbag repro industry got it right.
