Anybody in here pedantic enough to know if these are the OE plugs? They were made by Carr.  They are in my L34 and will use them again if they aren't already aftermarket.

I’d find the drawing (part) number and Google it. I bet they are a US part and possibly found over there.

They have to be OE. They look the same as the ones used in FB EK.

It is a patent number on it, not a part number.

Yep, that's the replacement ones.  But I am thinking the closer to concourse I can get my car, the better. Even if it can't be seen. Speaking of which, you don't have any NOS heater hoses do you Brad? Or brake hoses, or speaker blank off panels, or front spoilers or or or

Yeah heater hoses would be nice! I was lucky that the one that runs along the drivers side to the water pump was still in good nick. I think I have some speaker blanks that were popped out of a friends Torana when he fitted speakers. I was going to tack them into mine but never got round to it. Ive binned a lot of my parts and there is a chance these may have went also. Ill have to have a search.

They look like OEM plugs to me.

I just noticed my car had one of these in a hole behind the shifter. I didn't think it was factory until I saw this picture of another L34 with the same.  I am assuming this is a delete console mod. What normally goes through this hole if a console is in place?

Nothing. All HQ-HZ have one in the same place.

Found this on the shed floor while cleaning up this arvo.894d7cd4226bdd37caea681986dcc661.jpgCARR PAT No 165424/55 as best I can read it. Used in Holdens from around 1955 I speculate. There was a dealer bulletin at some stage, advising to use them with the brim cut off, as an anti rattle bush where the gear lever end sits in a socket in the column shift tube.
