Does anyone know if you can buy the mounting rubber. And in particular the plastic bit that goes into the holes to secure the mount. My plastic bit is buggered. I have seen them for sale. But they don't list LJ as being suitable.

This is all I could find. And I'm not sure if the holes in the door are the same spacing and diameter. https://www.retrospa...or-mounting-kit

I’m sure the black plastic is different for the Lj for the wider base. That is if your mirror stems are original lj and not hq type.

Mine is original. I was going to nut and bolt it. But if I ever needed to remove it. Well that would be a pain. Maybe able to fabricate something if I can't get one. Thanks for the reply Jason.

I think the other mounting parts will suit the LJ but as Jason said the plastic base piece from the big Holdens and LH LX don't suit the LJ mirror stem.

Marty has used his voodoo liquid plastic resin moulding kit to manufacture replacement bases for the LJ mirrors.

Check out "The Sally Report" I'm not sure if that's where he shows the finished product?
