Modern MG stands for 'Ming Garage'.

If you bother to check out the worlds fastest (top sped 400 kph+) production cars, the all electric one has the fastest 0 - 100 time.

And so they should - DC motors are wonderful bits of technology. But the battery technology just needs to advance to make EV's desirable, to me anyway. I wouldn't be seen dead driving that MG either!

If its anything like the current model (no pun) it will be shite

Everything electrical seems to fail on them pretty fast

Especially windows

They are made in China, after all. At the moment, the current battery technology makes an EV impractical for me. There are two hybrids on the market that I would consider, but not because of the extra KM on offer.

I hired an MG for a day in Darwin a while back. I guess it was the base model, but that is no excuse for it being the worst car I have ever driven, and I'm including the auto Camira I owned while waiting for my broken leg to heal.

Even my four year old son knows that MG’s are shit. We hired one in Sydney and it was gutless. All he could hear was my bad language.
