Don't know if its legal or not.

But one of the best burnouts I have ever seen on the street was around 7 years ago, this guy we got chatting to at the servo one saturday night.
Had a LH 308 built up sedan, his right leg was in a cast but when he left the servo he chooked all 3 lanes in Brookvale with smoke everywhere.

Point of the story is you can still shred tyres with your leg in a cast, but it might not be legal. haha.

although im not in NSW, i cant see it being too much of a problem, i got out of my SLR in front of the coppers at a servo with a cast on my right leg and they didnt seem too fussed, but i reckon youll get sick of it pretty quick and do the same thing i did, i cut it off my self, what ever you do it will be fun.................. not. oh and i hope your leg gets better soon

It is ok as long as the cast doesn't interfere with the operation of the controls (accelerator/brake). If it does and it leads to a lose or a prang you will be on the receiving end of a nastygram. :D

Id say no, but if you have a letter from your doctor describing it is safe....you may be ok. Id doubt that it would be, can you really stomp on the brake pedal if you need to? or is there the possibility you could get it caught on something....like the other leg etc.

actually, now i have read it again, im not sure whether i would be driving at all..

If it was my left leg in a cast i would drive an auto.

But the right leg, i would just not drive. What do u mean by short cast? just ankle to calf?

Yeah get someone else to drive u around

Not a good idea, iv driven with just a twisted right ankle and almost rapped up my VN a few times.. You just cant hit the brakes hard, your leg reacts and once you feel pain it lets go and the car dont stop..

Dad's mate had a broken leg. (Really badly broken, like, three bones broken), and he drove around in a Manual Nissan Patrol no worries...

Not sure bout legality though...
