Hi Brains trust. I have been researching which oil I need to put in my reconditioned 308.
It’s a Holden 308 stock standard that has been rebuilt and I think it’s 60 thou over. It’s going to be the first time it will be started.
I have some Castro GTX Ultraclean 15-W40. Would this be ok to use.
Cheers and thank you in advance

Woah there now! I would be using something like Penrite 10/10ths running in oil. You want something with no friction modifiers in it if I'm right. You'll be having to bed the cam and lifters first up I think. I would be adding a bottle of zinc additive off the bat as well.
