Still use hpr30 for extra zinc...dunno if true but wait for days when it's on sale at supercheap to buy 2 bottles.

Looks thick so prefer to give engine a little time to warm up & make sure oil has circulated...this is for my 304 vp ute that sits in driveway for weeks at a time

Shell Rimular 15w40 (diesel engine oil).

Did that with an old 308 I had at one point.

Was on a farm and found out I was really low on oil.

All they had was diesel oil.

Never ran out again after that as I had to keep 4 litres in the car all the time as it developed a few leaks.

It left its mark everywhere it went for years later.

I just changed the filter from time to time.

The oil never really got old, and was basically self changing.

Cheers

Rob

Standard hyd lifter motor that’s not newish?

Whatever you like that’s 15-50 or thereabouts that has enough zinc etc in it.

Penrite HPR 10 10W-50 Full Synthetic. With Zinc.

Full Syn means I don't worry about only changing the oil every 5 years or so.
