Mods if this isn't allowed please delete this post,. I am just trying to spread the word to stop this happening to anyone else.

Beware of buying stuff online via Facebook from a scammer imitating JC Spares in NSW.

I spoke to someone from the business today and unfortunately I was ripped off! He advised that this has been going on since May last year, Police and FB have done nothing about it.

JC Spares have taken down their Facebook page so anyone on the there purporting to be them is a fraud so do not buy from them.

There’s dozens of them daily across all Facebook groups.

Usually pretty easy to pick if you look at the profiles.

Even easier to pick once you message them. They will always be nowhere near you. Their English, if responding quickly to messages, is usually poor.

I honestly cannot believe some of the adverts victims post on Facebook wondering why they lost their money…

I was like you thinking what idiot would fall for it. Well this idiot fell for it which is why I am raising it. Seemed legit, I checked their website, we conversed via messenger and all seemed fine. Checked the website, all seemed fine. Reviews seemed ok. Etc etc

Point is:

1. Dont buy off Facebook sites.

2. Dont transfer money to bank accounts

3. Try and utilise services of things like PayPal that will refund your money.

These pricks are clever, they mimic the genuine sites to perfection.
