Hey guys,

Have been lurking for a bit trying to build up the Confidence to start and get this on the road. was gifted to me from my grandfather almost 10 years ago and being young, not much experience and little money i didn't get far. He had previously had a a lime green UC and this was his Spare shell, but when he couldn't drive it anymore he started repairing the rust in this. majority of the repairs were covered in spray can so i have started to strip that back and apply rust converter and epoxy primer to seal everything up before i can even look at paint.

over the years i have collected various bits and pieces to have a little more fun with the car.

Currently sitting HQ front hubs and brakes.
have a 308 thats been sitting for a very long time that i plan to do a rebuild on with a turbo 350 sitting there as well.

Make sure you talk to an Engineer about the 308 in a UC before you sink too much $ into it. Common sense tells you it should be OK as a UC is basically no different to an LX and were made in parallel with LX for a time. But still worth the effort to sort it out. As a minimum you are going to have to have the ADR27A red pollution equipment or better on it, so make sure you are using at least pollution red heads of blue/black heads. You will need a EGR valve being an auto and will need to have the right Quadrajet and canister for it.

Cheers guys, yer the plan is to keep steadily attacking it.
car was mostly complete when i got it but i know gaps are going to be fun as i am pretty sure the doors were off a different car.

That's my plan with the 308 going to focus on the body of the car first then when the funds allow/and i'm ready ill start talking to an engineer see what they want or need for the 308. i do still have the 202 that someone had swapped into it sitting in the corner of my Grandparents shed.
