Good result bruce. When I got the new cam for my 179 from Jonny Marshall he also supplied on request lifters, which he surfaced as well. Lifters seem to be fraught these days.

What cam specs did he supply you with?

Spoke to him yesterday about a cam for my new engine

I asked for it to generate peak torque around 2800RPM, which is where it sits at 60kmh in 2nd and 100kmh in top (all sync 3spd, tall final drive).
Torque curve turned out pretty flat on the chassis dyno.

I remember it being nice to drive and pretty pokey too for such a mild cam

Thanks Bruce. It was getting a bit warm on the way home from all Holden day last Sunday. I’m hoping that was the cause of slight pinging occurring. Time to remove the ally plate blocking off the front of the radiator. Gauge got up to 104C and the idiot light even came on. At least I know it works.
