Just puting it out there to guage peoples thoughts on the exposed panel bolts for LH/X.

Particularly the ones on the top of the guards. There are choices -

1. I have seen 2 different bolt heads - painted in car colour

2. Raised edge bolts - chrome finish

3. Button head hex bolts - chrome or stainless finish

What are your preferences and why. Any feedback is most welcomed.

Cheers

Hi. I have standard chrome bolts as They look neat and don't detract from the colour of the guard. Painted may look good but I think too impractical. To ensure they weren't chipped whilst bolting up the guard you would have to paint them afterwards and what happens if you have to remove the guard for any reason. Most importantly is what do you want/like. Cheers Ron

Thanks Ron, very good point regarding marks or chips on the bolts. I am leaning towards the chrome already.

Hi hatchesv8,

I have used the zinc bolts/washers painters.

I always think the bolts looking black.

I have started a pain job to paint the new ones pained.

I have made some washers that are 1.5mm wide so the standard washers will incase chip the guards when I bolt one up.

I will look see the finish.

Mando.
