what a week its been.
Of all the blokes you thought were indestructable it was those two.
I remember Brocky charging around Catalina Park in rallycross when I was a teenager and that A9X was the toughest race car I had ever seen and they still look good today.
I managed to get Brockys autograph at Oran Park when he retired (?),man he just signed photos and talked to people non stop.
All you guys that met the Man will certainly hold those memories close.
Vale two great Aussie hero's.

I have got a say, I have shed alot of tears over the last few hours.

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting PB when the club ran the All Holden Car and Bike Day back in 2002. We had him there for the day and for about 6 hours he sat there and signed everything from models to photoes to books to cars.. and all the time he was happy to have a talk to the fans and never ever asked for anything. During a short break, I had a chance to talk to PB and to point out my car with the Hatch Hutch on..We had a good old laugh about the HHutch..

I know that a few members of the club will remember their trip from Spears Piont to Newcastle Airport when they gave PB a "lift" to the airport in a very nice LX Hatch... Garry. and Aaron

I again met PB at a PB Foundation Dinner in Maitland where I had the pleasure of listening to PB Talk about the "old days of racing".

I am sure that there alot of others here that have a story to tell...

He will be surely missed

regards
Mick

Well said everyone.
The Aussie spirit will fight on no matter how great the loss, we all have a bit of Brock and Erwin in us as we are all Australian, this makes us tuff as nails, we all have that mad passion as these two legends did at some extent, Aussie larrikin, patriotic, yet laid back at times. When we think of these two we think this is Australia at its best, which makes it that much sadder when they go, as a bit of Australia goes with them but you can bet the Aussie spirit will never die.
I love this country. I love the fantastic people it produces. This is the greatest country on earth and we have two legends to prove it.
Fantastic country and dont let anyone EVER tell us any different.
Cheers to Peter and Steve, Cheers to there family, Cheers to every Aussie out there.
MRNOS's pics inspired me to say ^ :spoton:
