Hello what’s the thoughts on bronze brass oil pump gear used for a roller cam set ups ? Are factory drive gear ok to use ? Thanks

Hi there Adam,

 Tighe Cams,

 said to use the supplied brass gear with the Roller Cam. 

Being the same size as the pump gear,

 I think it is only for the distributor.

I also imagine, the pump would need the hardened gear for the work it does.

The roller cams are steel, so you have to use brass gear, and electric fuel pump, or the arm wears out, so I am told…

A gearbox does not have bronze and steel gears though. :3gears:

 

But I suppose they don't rotate as fast.

The oil pump & fuel pump lever,

 must not have enough oil.
