Hey guys, I'm a bit curious.
I'm currently pulling out my 6cyl and replacing it with a 308.

I was wondering what happens with the master cylinder brake lines between the 6 and 8 cyl booster.
I know it will mount on fine, the problem is the brake lines off the master cyl are rigid metal, and it would appear (without having mounted it yet) that the v8 booster is going to sit further off the firewall than the 6cyl one, thus pushing the mastercylinder alot further forward which is a bit of a problem with rigid lines that aren't going to bend to accomodate a further forward position.

Question is, before i get to that stage, when converting from 6 to 8 cyls, are new brake lines for the master cyl required or is the v8 brake booster going to sit further back than it looks.

-Cheers.

I swapped over from a 6cyl brake booster to a big 8cyl one, i had no issues with the lines, they just slightly bent and moved to accomodate fitment to the master cylinder. I dont think u should really have any probs

Thanks mate.
Hopefully not, didn't seem like the lines bend so thought I would ask here first if there are different lines I was supposed to have gotten.

Now just to hope the tailshaft lines up, otherwise time to start measuring :)

cheers once again.

There brake lines, geting a bender and bend them slightly, as long as they dont kink your fine, can even bend them by hand, just dont bend close to the pipe nuts.
