Can somebody please clarify.
Did the LC and LJ use chrome rings on the knobs or white rings..?

Can somebody please clarify.
Did the LC and LJ use chrome rings on the knobs or white rings..?
LC had chrome rings, same as HT & HG Holden.
LJ did not have rings on the knobs, with the possible exception of the bonnet cable release knob, where fitted.

To the best of my knowledge none had white rings. It's just the bright silver finish dulls off over time. Possibly originally they were vacuum metalised which is vapourised aluminium which then oxidises over time and goes dull.

No white rings. As James said, as the silver finish deteriorates it leaves or exposes a white coating, perhaps a primer?

I can highly recommend the chrome stick on rings from Rares, then 2K gloss clear over the top for an amazing finish.
