Hi There
Are the rubber caps that go the back of the headlights called dust covers or dust caps? What is the correct name for them? I have searched the LC parts catalog and cant find anything.
Can you get new ones from anywhere?
Cheers

Sealed beams did not have those rubber covers. No holden or torana ever had those with sealed beam headlamps.
Those covers are used on Halogen headlamps, esp aftermarket conversions.

No.
They just had a plastic connector.
No dust seal required for sealed beam headlights.
If you upgraded to halogen inserts a dust cover came with the headlight kit.

LC had a hard plastic cover .I would have thought LJ had something similar with the parking globe in it.

Yes that is the headlight wiring connector/plug. It is part of the wiring harness. There seems to have been a few different types used on LC/LJ. One type with the shroud, as pictured above, another without the shroud and the late 1972 onwards type with the shroud and an extension below to house the park lamp.
