I have 2 sets of engine mount plates, both for Torana( so I’m told)

can anyone please tell me which is the correct set up for 253 manual running pacemakers extractors in a LH

one plate is 400mm wide and other is 53mm wide as per pictures

I Also have a Set of HQ-HZ ones

You have a Torana and HQ set.

The Torana ones are the 53mm ones.

Diagram stolen from earlier thread…

You can use either depending on the sump and pipes you are using. You will gain a little bonnet clearance with the lower HQ ones. Sump will be lower though and closer to the crossmember.

If you run into clearance problems with the pipes you can try slotting the mounts so you can move things a little.

Or you can clearance the pipes by denting them a little. Will not affect their performance.

Rexy beat me to it, the Holden/Statesman ones are the lower ones. The taller ones are Torana. Even HT-HG are the same as HQ-WB, just the rubber mount attaches differently and the adapter has the extra spots for the bolts (if you swap the adapter and mount out as a pair they are interchangeable).

I have the engine in now and i used the lower engine mounts, even thing  clears better, although the front stabiliser bar hits on drivers side extractor pipe ( Pacemakers)

So I will sell off the Torana mounts

Just plumbing all up including Air con

would love to post photos, just can’t  seem to get them small enough, advise would would be good

There are other ways, but the easiest I found was using Facebook.

Create a post and change who sees it to only you.

Facebook automatically reduces the size of the image so that you can use it here.

I just then save that image back to my computer, then use it to post here.

I then delete the post from Facebook.

Takes all of 20 seconds to do.

Cheers

Rob

The other quick and rough way to do it is to select a few photos and right click and “send to mail recipient”. It pops up with a choose image size. It’ll open an Outlook email message from which you can copy & paste the smaller images out of.

I use the same "Send to mail recipient" method and it works like a treat.
