Hi All

Ive just gone to fit my flywheel and it doesn’t fit

The bolt spacing on the crank is very close to 90mm

where as the flywheel that was provided with the engine has a spacing of 77mm

I have a flew plate  that is also 90

im thinking I don’t have a Holden fylwheel

 Can someone confirm

77mm is about Holden 6 cyl size and would be a smaller overall diameter

Also If i remember right the holden v8 flywheel has 2 different bolt patterns for the pressure plate so check that when looking for another flywheel

looking at this further it appears i may havre V6 VN flywhel 77mm spacing with 6 pressure plates holes

My pressure plate has 6 even spaced holes, the kit i brought was for a253/308, so just need to but a 253/308 flywheel with even spaced pressure plates holes

Dunno about your problem but Holden 6 bolt holes aren't evenly spaced. You have to rotate the f/wheel on the crank till the bolts line up.

Are you referring to 6cyl or V8

My question was on V8 PCD, which I believe is 90mm , and as mentioned my flywheel has a 6 cyl pattern with a v8 OD, I think it could be v6 commodore

Referring to 6cyl and clutch attachment, not crank.

There are two types of V6 flywheel. Only the early series 1 VN had six crank bolt holes. All others from then on had eight. This one is the later dual mass jobbie, but the earlier one looks very similar.

The Holden V8 one looks quite different.

The other one you may have is VL 6 cyl which has six holes and looks more like the V8 one.

Got me stuffed. Maybe it is a Yella Terra six cyl one drilled to accommodate a V8 pressure plate. Either way, it looks like you are buying another one.
