I am trying to fit 2 new rare spares door barrels to each of my doors - the retaining plate in the picture which is the original item does not want to go inplace. Is it a matter of brute force of filing down the barrels a bit so he retaining clips will snap into place easily. As usual all help is appreciated

I’ve never used the Rares barrels, but I would probably slightly file the tabs for easier installation,They do need a fair amount pushing though.

Same here, never used RSP door lock cylinders but I did find my originals harder to install with new rubber gaskets. Perhaps the repro rubber gaskets are thicker than OEM?

I bought some repro door locks from Aveska a few months ago for my UC.

The new gaskets supplied were either too thick or did not compress enough.

Used the old gaskets and all good.

Thanks Dave - yes new gaskets are thicker than old ones but old ones are stuffed
