I picked this up the other day.  With the bolt on plate on the side it looks like a six cylinder version of the L34 REPCO dizzy, but with only one coil. It was used in Paul Stubber's old mans EH Appendix J racer. If anyone in WA is chasing something like this I don't need it.

I think Scorcher used to make them.

Mallory was another option from memory.

There was a trick to getting them set right, otherwise your tacho would give you silly readings.

A couple of mates tried them out back in the day.

I think the longest one of the mates persisted with one was about 4 weeks.

Cheers

This is a Holden dizzy modified so probably more likely Scorcher than Mallory.

I think Mallory also had a conversion available but may be wrong.

There were also a few different electronic conversions doing the rounds as well.

As well as home made and kitsets of various types and more notably quality.

Capacitor discharge was a big thing for a while.

Most that went the different ways also had the required gear in the car to go back to standard ignition.

Breakdowns were frequent with them.

Cheers

Rob
