Im just comparing the Ryco Z30 and Ryco Z30ST oil filters.

Specs are the same for both except the Micron Rating (@ 98.7% efficiency).

Z30 =        35

Z30ST =    20

Would the ST variant still be ok to use with HRP30 Mineral Oil?

I guess it can filter down to a smaller particle level? Surely thats a good thing? Or could that be flow restrictive?

I always use synthetic filters on modern engines. Not sure how older tech and mineral oil goes, finer will block faster meaning the bypass may open giving you no filtering. I actually have to import synthetic 10-48 filters for my Ram as i cannot buy a decent one here. Royal Purple are never available from the local seller, and no-one seems to sell Fram Ultra here either. So I buy them in lots of 10 from the USA.

Don't know about hpr30 but ULX110 can have some of the additives removed by finer filters, They give you a filter list if you speek to the agent to avoid the problem.
