Hi,

My car is sitting lower by about half a inch or so on the front passenger side, what should i be looking at first?, the tyres are evenly pumped up etc... also the drivers side front end seems to squeek when i push down on the car, i believe that is a shocker. but i dunno about the passenger side.

cheers.

Sure the problem is not ones side is higher than the other? :nada:

Was of the idea(perhaps incorrect) that shocks only offered damping and unless pump up style, wouldnt affect the static height of the vehicle. Based on that would be looking at spring or worn out suspension mounts etc.

my gf's uc had a worn spring.. bout an 1" or 2 lower on one side

wen we pulled them out there exacly the same height.. (cant tell by there height under no preasure) put new ones in and its perfect..

so yea most likely a worn spring , definatly not a worn shokie.

Check that both front springs are seated correctly at the top in the crossmember where the 4 tangs are, and also at the base where it needs to be rotated until seated.

just as a bit of useless info, measure your suspension height from the bottom lip of your rim to the wheel arch and it does not matter if one tyre is flat and the other one up as it will measure right.(as long as rims are same dia obviously)
but back to the problem, it would seem to be a spring problem to me,unless you have had it jacked up i would doubt if the spring is out of its hanger more likely its
a collapsed spring.

It will no doubt be the lower ball joint... mine sits a bit low on the front left to... got the bro to take a look and he pulled the wheel and shit off and diagnosed it with a 'worn' ball joint... cheap fix at any trailer mob :D

if you look at alot of older cars the drivers side is normally lower then the passengers side, my LJ has that problem, and it is mainly because it is the side that carries a passenger more often. Newer 4wd actually have the drivrs side slightly higher then the passengers side to compensate, they dont mention it but they do it. However it seems you have the opposite problem, maybe the old owner of the car had a large passenger... i dunno.
