Hi all,

I have a Mighty Demon (mech secondaries) on my 383 Chev...

For those who do not know Demon carb's, they come standard with clear sight glasses on the fuel bowls, making it quite easy to set the float levels...

However what I want to know is what other people set their's too.... the Demon's have 3 marks next to the sight-glasses (high, medium, low).... so are a bit different to Holley's. (My understanding of Holley's is that you just remove the plug and adjust the float until fuel just starts drizzling out of the hole)....

So what do we do on our Demon's when we have 3 settings to choose from?

Thoughts?

The demon on my 308 and our 400 chev race engine both have the float level enough to see the fuel level just at the top of the sight glass (the top 3 or 4mm)
Hope this helps

I would have thought that setting them to middle would be best for street and most race applications?

What benefit would there be of raising the float level?

more reserve in your float bowls, similar to having larger bowls

But wouldnt that lead to flooding issues, especially when cornering/braking/accelerating?

to be honest i havent checked out the demon yet Wether the vent tubes work the same as a holley?
