well almost at the stage of my restoration when i am going to have too look at the ride height. After i win the lottery next week  i think i will be looking at a set of 15's on my uc and was wondering if anyone here knew of any good springs that would suit to do a bit of lowering/hardening job on standard shocks. The old bounce up and down on the car while it is in the garage test seems to suggest that there is nothing wrong with the shocks, they dampen the bounce quite nicely so i think i could live without that expensive upgrade and just go for a spring change.

Also any previous prices that any of you guys have got for your mods would be great?

Might get away with it on the front, but you need shortened ones for the rear, otherwise your springs will fall out every time you jack the car up.

dammit i hadnt given that a though actually. Although my mate runs something on his lowered springs in his old toyota that makes them captive. ill have to look into that.

Cheers

I managed to score a set of secondhand lowered springs for my uc only $50, so definately keep your eyes and ears open. Rear springs almost fall out when the ass is jacked up but thats the price you pay. Car definately looks lower and handles a damn site better! Pretty sure you'd be able to source new springs through any suspension place new.

hmm. 50 bucks i could live with :D . But all my mates have problems with getting warrants with uncaptive springs so it might be a more expensive excersize for me. :( . Is getting springs for wishbone suspension difficult. Any brands to stay away from?
