Hand Brake Cable for nine inch with hq drums

Hi all
Ive just swapped a nine inch with hq drums from my lh 4 door which worked fine ( handbrake cable length was great ) but now when on my lx 2 door the cable is to short to fix to the foot handbrake mech near the tailshaft.

This arvo Im going to rip the cables out of both and measure as a double check.

A few questions

Are the 2 door and 4 door handbrake cables the same length?

And if hq drums are larger ( therefore the standard torana handbrake cable will not have as much slack in it ) do i need a longer cable or make an extension bracket to go onto threaded part of the handbrake mech?

just checked the cables and exactly the same size, will check the handbrake mech tomorrow but it looks fine.
