Hi guys, I'm chasing a Brock Commodore, and would like to check the engine number prefix, normally they are VT for the 308, but I've come across one that's VB5xxxxxxx.Can someone help confirm the VB bit whether or not the 4.9L changed to this?

Hi 73lj202.

The VB prefix is for VK 304 with manual trans & V5H engine equipment. That means either Police or HDT (Group 3 or similar).

If this question relates to the yellow VK for sale then according to the HDT forum its all legit and checks out, meant to be a pretty good thing too.
