I have an idea of what combo I would like to run but I would like some feedback from people. I am not building a drag car, quiet the opposite. I am building my car to be more a touring (cruising/Hwy) car than a drag car, hence I want a combo that is suitable. Diff ratio is 3.08.

So far this is what I have thought about:

304 probably bored out 0.020"
standard rods with ARP rod bolts
ACL bearing shells
ACL flat tops
Crane 284/286 or Crow 4651/4619 cam
Yella Terra 1.65:1 roller rockers or something similar
Starr Performance manifold with 90mm throttle body (these flow around 1260cfm)
Ross harmonic balancer
Rollmaster double row timing chain
JP HV oil pump
ICE pro 100 series leads and lightning race series coil.
Pacemaker headers

This should be a fairly strong combo that is drivable, any comments will appreciated.

BOTTLEDUP, I will have to come and see you, Leon helped me with my old engine about 10 years ago.

Going to be running 4 speed manual, so I can stall where ever I need it (within the mechanically strength properties of the driveline) :D

^ aint nothen like stirring the pot yourself. :spoton:

just dont go too big on the tyre diameter or you may have to lower the final drive ratio.
