at the temora show on the weekend there was an LJ from Cowra with full LH flare kit, LH dash, LH tail lights, LH headlights. Looked great.

If you are after opinions........ I hate em. Original is heaps better. Fit mini tubs as you mentioned. Will look heaps cleaner and less 80's.

Horses for courses. If we all thought the same it would be a boring world, do what takes YOUR fancy. But I'm with LX406 on this one :spoton:

Yeah usually I'd say "me too, they look crap".
BUT I saw a blue LC at Oran Park a while back that the owner had done the full sports sedan thing to......It was a road car and was registered...
Had the bolt on flares and the front and rear spoilers, but it also had side skirts and a rear wing that looked very similar to the ones that are used on the Falcon V8 supercar....
LOOKED AWESOME!!!!
Ah! go for it I say... but don't copy what has already been done to death in the 80's... think a bit differently.
BUT FOR GOD SAKE............NO RICE!

Cheers Greg..

yeah i say do it, different is a good thing.
it is great to see stockers in top nick like GTR's etc but imagine going to a car show and seeing row after row of red GTR's with factory black outs and 13" sprintmasters.
varity is the spice of life.

If you have an original GTR or XU-1 ... yeah keep it looking original, dont butcher it ... but if it's a mock or standard model tidy it up to your hearts content (NO RICE). I love the look of say a 4 door all kitted up with SLR flares - spoilers - scoop (like Doc's). Maybe it does look 80's but they were'nt so bad.

The single piece rear flares are probably just off the A9X Hatch, so look for a hatch flare kit...

I bought it like that but judging from the alignment of them and the apparent hand reshaping at the bottom (for the different proflie) I would've guessed they're modified LX 4 door.
