I'm in Sydney
It's time for the front and rear bars to be redone on my LJ.

Would I just be better off having my bars reconditioned through Rare Spares or is there someone else in Sydney that comes recomended?
How would they compare for both price and quality.

Has anyone here had Rare Spares do their bumper bars?

Both my bars have to be repaired before they are rechromed.

theres a guy called vinney that sells them fully recoed, triple plated on ebay. Dont think theres any on there at the moment, but keep an eye out!

Rare Spares give you someone else's recod ones. You give them your crappy old ones, and $370 odd bucks (from memory) and they'll give you a set that have been reshaped and re chromed... they look ok, but definately need a polish when you get them.

Rares in turn then reco yours and sell to someone else

Thats how it was when I enquired a year or so ago, anyway

They look ok, they're not concourse condition, but are straight, they're dent and scratch free and the chrome is fairly fresh. As I said previously, they need a good polish, but thats about it. I think it may actually be $370 for EACH bar exchange, which is a bit expensive, but if they can sell them for that, and people spend the money - they must be worth it.
