hello ive just bought a velocity stacker and put it on top of my carby and its got me thinking, wouldnt all that extra air be leaning off my fuel mixture? also it doesnt seem to be all that its cracked up to be as i reckon theres this tiny flat spot in third. any help and advice would be greatly appreciated
cheers adam

i dont think it would lean things out but i would think that it would give more power higher in the rev range and perhaps less bottom end as you need a fair bit of air speed before it starts to have a positive impact (like a tunnel ram) which could explain the flat spot coz of air speed flow problem. Of course I could be speaking out of my proverbial as I have no exp with velocity stacks but thats my thinking on it :spoton:

is the problem at full throttle in 3rd? If its leaning out it should display same symptons in 4th as you wind it out. In the lower gears it could be that it revs out so quick you dont get the flat spot or not that you notice. If you dyno tune it using a gas analyser (think i spelt that right, have had a few whiskies) it would clearly show up if its leaning out.
