Yeah, definitely need a hubcap there...

IMO, whitewalls make it look a bit too tryhard sleeper style... Considering Toranas didn't have whitewalls anyway.

Couldn't get the newest lot of pics to load (dial up strikes again) but something about it in the other pics screams gangsta - probably the house paint white walls.

Maybe a lil too much white on the tyres but those size wheels and those hubbys is really cooking. :spoton: :spoton:

I think the small whitewalls look better than the full whitewalls. How does the house paint go sticking to the tyres? Do you need to keep applying it to keep it clean?

Yeah i'm gonna try the thin whitewall on the 15's when i put them back on, but i really like the look of the 13's now!!!! :spit:
Got this crazy paint that does still come off a bit but is much better than the house paint :tease: thin white wall stays on better to.
She will be a real best with the 355 in soon, but still look the same :)

Dellow Hydraulic Clutch setup dosn't fit with my HQ eng mounts and VN heads with the covers i have got. This caused a mad pannic and delays for a while, All sorts of terrible ideas where going through my head like:
Have to change back to early heads wasteing all the cash i had spent on the Vn's!!!
Cable clutch which would take away from the everyday driving and sitting in traffic abbility that was the whole idea of this car.
Couldn't move engine with mounts, because i had to use HQ brackets for the CAE pipes to fit and the High NRG stlye sump was close to everything anyway!

Ended up biting the bullet and lashing out on a Mal Wood under dash clutch pedal box with external resevoir and a internal throw out bearing i think it was.
Here are some pics anyway so you can see what i mean :)

Ok delays again as always, but getting close :)
Exhaust done, was going to go over the diff but as it was sitting way low it was just easier to go under. X-pipe and twin 2.5' system, tried to hide the dump pipes out the back.

Gearbox had to come out due to improper amount of shims on hyd throw out bearing, so up on stands she goes and Glen (UltrablueA9x) shows me how to take out the gearbox, clutch and flywheel :spoton:
Posted Image

Seeing as the muncie was coming out again we thought it best to change out the std flywheel and HD clutch (organic) with something better suited.

Just arrived today NPC cusion button ceramic clutch and flywheel :tease: thanks to Toranamat69 for putting me onto them.

So with any luck box etc goes back in tomorrow, then just a little engine bay work and she is good to go

What colour red is the RED Rocket? I'm guessing Salamanca 1974.

I added the wheels 2 weeks ago- 15 inch volvos. The fake whitewalls came with them, not sure I'm gonna keep em.

My two cents worth: the whitewalls are OK (preferably thin whites) but they definitely need the white roof to match, and the wheels should be red to match the car. Sunvisor and venetians look good too.

Not sure on the exact colour of red, as the nose cone and the rest are two similar but different shades :P
The white roof is on the to do list, just wana get it driving again first!!!
Interesting zeppelin_79, if it was a older style rim maybe it would look better, as i have decided volvo (intercepter style) with no hubcaps to cover them don't do it for me. I'll prob change to HQ pattern soon when i get around to the brakes, and get some old chev style centres on my rims when i want it to look ratty without the hubcaps on. :spoton:
Ben whitewall's are explained on prevous pages. Cheap paint that chips and falls off :tease:
Box, clutch, flywheel, shifter in today, getting close :D
