correct it is two tanks welded together ,(with the original flat tops removed) so it is effect a double capacity tank...........How is that tank made, looks like 2 tanks welded together.

not a lot has happened over the last 4 weeks,
spent the first 2 weeks banished from the shed by my doctor ,
(cheast infections and bog dust/paint fumes are not a good mix )
since then mother nature has been doing her best to upset proceedings with some less than favourable weather, the thermometer in the shed didn't get above 10 degrees for over 2 weeks
but today the sun came out for a bit
been rubbing down the repairs and the rest of the car and I'm finally happy with one of the panels,..................the roof
it is ready to get its final coat of undercoat
(just don't ask about the rest of the car )
here's the roof ready for final rub down and undercoat.....
yeah I know boring as bat shit but I thought I'd better give an update on the project anyway

started to strip it down and found that its full of bog,
its been kinked around the key hole ,
and to top it off its had a ford gt type spoiler fitted at some stage of its life,
someone has done a bodgy weld up of the holes which has warped the area around there repairs
I'm not going to bother repairing it, so it looks like I'm on the hunt for a better one
anyone need a spare bootlid for a speedway car seems I have one in stock

it was still wet when I took the pic so it looks very glossy ,
if it doesn't dull off overnight I will be putting a couple of dry coats over it all tomorrow

will be giving it all a wet rub soon
and then another coat of primer, and then another wet rub
followed by a matt blue base coat, and then another wet rub
then hopefully I'll be able to get some "cyan blue" happening
