Looking good! You have done a good job with the body work. :)

Little tip if you are not already doing it. Wet the sandy floor before you paint it or you will get dust all through your paint. Take it one step further and put up plastic sheets making a sort of booth to stop the wind and other dust blowing on the paint. It will give you a good finish! :)

Cheers,

Phil

:D I no longer paint on the dirt floor ;)
I have an area in the shed with a concrete floor that has drainage built in so the floor can be wet down to stop dust :spoton:

most of the pics are taken outside of the spray booth area.

the following 2 pics were taken this morning in the area I paint in :spoton:

looks unbelievable!!! :D i hope when i try painting mine it comes out half as good! you seem to have it all down pat. i like the idea of wetting down the concrete first... ill definately be doing that once we seal it. or isnt urs sealed?

my concrete is unsealed which is the main reason I wet it down ;)

if it was sealed I would paint it , then it wouldn't need wetting down as much but I would still hose it off before I painted a car anyway................

my only tip would be "practice" and lots of it, mind you I wasn't happy with the result anyway and have completely re-done the whole car again today

Awesome. With the blackouts and a buff to get rid of that orange peel it should look perfect!

yesterday I blocked the whole car back down again from end to end with 1200,
this morning I masked up the blackouts and painted those,
then once those were unmasked I gave the whole car (including the blackouts) another 5 coats of clear :spoton:

all it needs now is a cut and polish and for surfmaster to come and get it
