I didn't have a good armrest that was covered in vinyl..I have a couple of good ones in cloth..so on it went...but why are the hinges ALWAYS off centre..I dont think I have ever seen a console lid/arm rest that closes properly.
The front pocket hinges were a bit of trial and error...must have had them on and off a dozen times..but they work well now..you just have to be gentle and don't have the little hinge brackets done up tight...leave them a bit loose.
What do you think?

Hope the guide was a bit of a help! If you wanted to you could use a silver pen on the holden logo on the lid (the large hinge can be adjusted to some degree with the screws too).

I have another lid here...looks like circles on metal?? Is that meant to be an SLR 5000 thing? Its the original lid off this console..but I think its too stuffed..3 big holes burned thru it.

Petrol has like a wax in it, finish off with thinners next time....the only way i could clean the glue off (without going to Bunnings) was petrol...no problem..but when I painted it..it got little craters all thru it where the paint refused to stick..so i wiped the paint off again and decided the black that it is now isn't too bad.
Sounds like SS kingswood to me.I have another lid here...looks like circles on metal?? Is that meant to be an SLR 5000 thing? Its the original lid off this console..but I think its too stuffed..3 big holes burned thru it.
