The angle won't be ideal without a bit of a trim but nothing major

Just the hole around the shifter, aside from fitting the shifter housing through the tunnel snugly I found that enlarging it forward a little helped with a precious extra few mm of height. No modification to the tunnel shape required

3.25 limo with 15 inch wheels with 285/40/15s.i didnt have to trim anything luckily and the shifter came up in exactly the same spot as the factory 4 speed which was what i was relieved about the most as i still use the console.but buggered if it was going to fit without a bash.maybe its different with the sbchev

I think there is at least 3 different shifter positions on Supra boxes - maybe that's why some of the above comments vary regarding trimming the gear stick hole.

Yeah but you want want the rearmost position for best placement

For those of you that have one already - how do you like it? How much power are you running through it?

@NEWSUX LX - looks like the rearmost shifter version to me, mine sits a bit higher to get a decent driveshaft angle (with HQ engine mounts though), and I have cut a bit further forward to accommodate (the driveshaft is very close to the floor but nothing is cut/modified behind the shifter).

@Darklord - mine's behind a warm-ish 308 which has had steady improvement over the last 5 years and it seems to be holding up fine no matter what I do to it which is a little surprising. I didn't do the conversion but I suspect that the box may have received some attention before being put behind the V8. The worst part of it is the shift quality, new shift bushes and a nice short shifter have made enough of an improvement that I am happy to keep it for now, but it still doesn't have very good feel.

More than 300 ft/lb of torque will eventually pull teeth off if applied regularly. The shift quality is ok-ish. I must admit I preferred the direct notchier feel the old steel case celica box had before I replaced it with the w series box.
