could be a nice car, if you ditched those wheels, and the wheel arches look odd. apart from that, cool as :buttrock:

I found that 2/4 door pretty interesting. Should have taken some pics of the frame work in the front, middle and back. Had a jag rear end I think, with inboard brake discs. Spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out the adjustable rear end set up - had a threaded bar for the shock and spring assembly that bolted up to the modified chassis/differential frame work. Then the fuel tanks were pretty cool, with a shallow alloy tank on each side of the boot floor but the fuel cap type and position didn't seem right.

All that effort just to put shit wheels and crappy flares and ruin it

the crap wheels are probably there just for the panel and paint, and may fit something better later,

very interest though.

Yep two door box looks awesome bar the absolutely stupid rims and flairs.

Same as the 1u/2u LC, the grille isnt great but those rims are god awefull...

Stupid trends. Hope this one vanishes as quick as that pink shirts on blokes trend that i avoided nearly as diligently as im avoiding the big rim trend...

Cheers.

I kind a like it with the flares might look heap better with some stand out paint job as for the wheels grose and the ones on the red lc crap spoils the whole car but each to the own.

i had heard the guy that painted my car was building a torana like that 2 door sedan and in the past year he has moved from perth to brisbane, taking the car with him.
maybe just maybe its the same car.
IF it is the same guy he painted mercules, the old ford mercury that won best panel and paint few years ago at summernats.
his name is sean used to be impact panel and paint in perth.

There was a brown LH with yellow hatch doors in Street Machine sometime in 1991

I agree with most people's comments of the wheels on both the LC and the custom box Torana. Whoever's building the custom one though, good on them. It could turn out pretty awesome with some non-gay wheels when its done. I'm guessing somehting like that would need to be registered as an ICV?

That one looked awesome, had flares, louvre and hotwires. Came across it recently when I was looking for inspiration, no further info though.

I have a rusty UC here that I have been toying with the idea of turning into a burnout car - I reckon a quick two door conversion along with steel flared guards, balloon rubber with white lettering, riveted sheet metal spoilers, Camaro hidden headlight style front, sheet metal bonnet bulge/scoop etc would be pretty cool. Sort of a Nascar style thing all round

Dunno, the B pillar is done differently - I prefer the way the one from the magazine has been done. Also the bonnet, under bonnet and boot are purple which makes me think that the whole car used to be that colour whereas the other one was obviously brown to begin with (not difficult to change paint colour of course, but to me it just looks like a new build)

Nope, you just need an engineer to sign off on the structural changes.
Might need a few blue plates to get all the mods codes in when finished though :P

Grant..
