I may have some in the shed that I could photograph/measure.

They are not the same, but I would have thought one of the 1/8" CLIP BADGE RETAINER PUSH IN TYPE clips would work.

Les, does Rares still make the letters, or have they been discontinued? I think I'm short an A.

pm me your address and i will post you a A

yeah went with the letter in hand and the car to rare spares at prospect and nothing

Try 'super' glue. God, I thought you were professional Tony!

You know Pat, I did seriously consider a permanent solution like that !!

Im pretty sure Ive got some of those. They are used to hold the LH SL/SLR front window corner moulding in place.

The ones I have, the inner diameter is to large to accommodate the shaft of the badge.

The measurements Ive taken are:

Badge mounting shaft: 2mm
Body mount hole: 4 to 4.5mm

Clips that look like this (There are 12 of the suckers):

I fixed these up while I was at it:

Let me know if you want measurements. They are plastic.

The other post I saw looking for this one suggests that some peeps silicon them in (little silicon). I don't like the thought of silicon and paint, but anyways.

Thought I was missing a letter, but I aint. Woohoo.

Mmm, I'm onto it, but the nose cone I'm currently preparing has holes at 3.6mm or 9/64 measured with veneer calipers and confirmed with a drill bit. Drawing to follow shortly.

Pins on letters 2.4mm dia.

Drawing. I only measured to the nearest 0.05mm. Plugs are plastic and round.

I have some original ones. Hanra, PM Les your address and give them a whiz. You could send me a couple to compare the fit with the old ones. I was worried that the little nick measured too small, considering the go into 1.6mm steel, but that's what it measured.

Torana panels aren't 1.6mm thick - I think they are 1mm last time I checked .

I got the ones that Les sent to me yesterday. They are to large in outside diameter to fit into the nosecone, and then they are to small towards the ends of the inside to allow the badge mounting shaft to go all the way home.

I might be able to fix the problem with a drill... but rather not...
