Just gas struts to hold it open instead of springs...common for the billet hinges. :D

I have ones that look like Sal308's - I got them from e-bay and the guy does a few styles.

no bonnet scoop mate but i modified it so it only sits above the bonnet , not a fan of too much out the bonnet. There is a link on my page for a vid which gives you a good look at how far it its above the bonnet

Rob (& others), you have gone a few levels beyond L8 enginebay wise - the hidden brake lines are a neat touch.

Yep had a look at your vid. The catcher sits at a perfect height imo and looks very tough. Is that gear drives I can hear?

yeah not everyones cup of tea but its been on this engine for 13 years and no issues just noisy :)

Whats the legal height for bug catchers and have you had any issues with it?
