Brakes are back together just got to bleed the wheel cylinders and adjust the handbrake.

Painted the drums with Duplicolour 'Hi Temp' Cast Iron grey'. Not quite as dark as I thought it would be, but I reckon it does reasonably match the colour of freshly cracked Cast Iron soil pipe.

Hmmmmmmm, not quite the look I was after with the Sprintmasters. Maybe it'll grow on me?

Sorry Dave but that's bad.
If you want a cast iron look, use the manifold paint by por15. Much darker. I used it on my exhaust.

No Dave. Little 100ml tin is $50.
I have plenty left. I could send you a little pot of it?
Marty.

Have had black drums for yonks. My plan was to have a slight colour contrast between the drum and the sprinty, just enough to lift the black part of the sprintmaster spokes rather than them just melting into the black drum behind.

Thank you kindly for the offer Marty, however if I need some I'll pop up to Brendale and grab a tin.

Nah, that's so nineteen eighties.

What was wrong with the eighties styles??? Except you had to wonder what colour you were gonna paint your wheel arches, and mag centres?? They'll be back!!! :)

Matt black is used for a couple of reasons one major to aid in heat dissipation.Black absorbs the heat to the surface for air to cool.Eg motorcycle heads, radiators, engine sumps. One bad move is to chrome a sump works opposite to having a black color.

It's not whether the brakes work, it's all about fashion, and looking good!!  :driving:
