It will be good to see how this goes on the dyno, I was surprised to see the choice of single plane procomp manifold, with that cam, It will probaly get some better top end, but there will be a bit of a sacrifice of streetablity vs a dual plane harrop or torquepower. What compression ratio did you end up going with?

I wasn't able to source another one on the day so it went back on the trailer and straight home.
So in until next time..

That is a bugger given all the effort, was the dizzy a new one with the rebuild? have you converted to HEI module for better spark?

It was self advancing as well which i wouldn't have really picked up.
It always used to have a slight hesitation when blipping the throttle which they were saying was caused by the dizzy. So it'll nice to get rid of that

Booked back in for this Saturday For another attempt.Where are you sourcing the replacement from?
Are they able to set it up for your new combo?
They'll set the dizzy up for me there.
Will be good to get it back on the road. I originally thought it would take only a couple of weeks... 6 months later!

They still gave it a tune as best they could. Was breaking down as revs increased so replaced leads which helped a little but was still backfiring as revs increased. Turns out it was my plugs. I had still been running plugs suited to the old red heads which were too short. Quick trip to supercheap for new longer plugs and she sounds sweet now.
Disappointed not to get it on the dyno but that can wait. A few more items to sort out, speedo stopped working since pulling the motor out and the temp guage also.
Took it for a spin today and stopped in to visit a mate with his Barbados LH.
