Did all LH bodies have the ability to mount the dual exhaust brackets on? As in, would a 6cyl body have mounting provisions regardless? Or was this a feature of a dual exhaust V8 body?

Mine is lx ss factory 6. But had the holes etc read to bolt the mount strait up.
I just got a old lh mount with a quick cut bend and weld turns into a rh mount no hassles at all.

Thanks guys. Yeah I meant the actual body structure itself. Just thinking of ways to identify a V8 bodyshell.

As in if someone bought a car with L32 or L31 tags detached, how could you partially say with some degree of confidence that those tags may have belonged with that body.

Brad, my LH SLR 3300 had 'Pre-drilled Holes' in the Body/Chassis from Factory. When I fitted a 308 in 1978 the Right-Hand Muffler Hanger Bracket bolted straight on - mine is an April 1974 Model.

I think most people replying are getting confused with the holes for the rear hanger in front of the diff, im taking it your talking about the hole in the RH rear rail for the tail pipe mount?

If so Ive only seen the thread in the rail (spot welded nut) on factory dual exhaust cars
